RCA Looses Audio on F36676ET

I have a 5 year old RCA 36 inch Model # F36676ET (chassis 197) that has a problem with the sound cutting out. It seems to happen when you are adjusting the volume and can only be reset by unplugging the tv. I have already spent over $200 to fix another picture related problem and wonder what this repair might cost.
