Samsung Smart Tv UE40ES6300 wifi not being found

hi
I have a Samsung Smart Tv UE40ES6300 which has been plugged into cable network, almost since the day I bought it.
We have moved location and there is no cable nearby, but now the Wifi connections are not found when the TV searches for it. All other devices in same position find the wifi connection, but not TV.
it is almost like the Wifi Card/system has been removed.
Have I some how turned it off in the settings so it cannot find available Wifi connections?
Is there a way of testing if the Wifi can work? or has blown up :)
Samsung were useless when I phoned them up, as they couldn't conencted via their 'remote access' even with when conected via ethernet cable they said it is was internet connection issue!!
