Client has above set went dead after 13months. On mains power led lights but no control. Remote is output optical data OK. Suspect a PSU problem - But how do I get in it ! Removed all five screw at the lower rear set back but cannot unclip it from the screen seem to fixed part way up sides concerned about bending the screen assembly -which is solid glass like structure

Any ideas anyone?

Hi Folks

managed to get into it! The side and top were held on with double sided tape that I had to sheer through with a thing blade so now can get info on the problem
when plugged into mains the disc drive spins up, a relay clicks and the LED come up green as though set has been switched from standby to on.- it should with mains only come up red Remote has no effect neither do buttons on the side. PSU seem to run up as several rails are up at 5V and 12V. Unplug disc drive problem still same. Unplug feed to screen unit problem still the same.

Main board (PSU, tuner and video/ audio drivers ) has a part number MSDV3212-ZC01-01 with a further code E246366. There are no obvious burn ups or swollen caps. The tuner modules is warm as though it is on but not too hot.

Any experience anyone? or circuit info that could help?
