Dorwrath;..... According to this website;=>... http://www.ecoustics.com/tl/15444/ 5 flashes are :=>... Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly."" BUT , that does not apply to your set as that code is for projection sets that have 3 CRTS & do NOT use a lamp... Your TV does not have that... I'm going to do a search for the service manual for your TV & see what I can find out... Need some time for that... 6 is thermal fuse but I doubt it would be that. Where did you get this from ??? Do you have the service manual ??? Would you be willing to share it ???? I turn it on, power light flashes green. After about 40 seconds it goes black screen. Do you see a pix during those 40 seconds ??? However I pressed on the cover part thats in front of where the bulb goes and the screen came back again. So I am wondering if the lamp somehow has got loose. Press & hold the cover for about 2 minutes... Does the pix stay on ??? As for the lamp cover.... Make sure the set is unplugged & the lamp IS cool.. I suggest you remove the lamp completely... Then re-install it making sure that all screws are tightened securely.... (Do not over tighten the screws) See if that helps any... There is a possibility that the cover switch is acting up... Please post results... You don't know any trust worthy sellers . I would have to order online anyway. When you pull the lamp out , get the number from it & post it... I will see what I can find out for you... Have a GREAT St Patty's Day.......
