Sony KV-14LT1E no video on AV1 input

Hi I have a SONY KV-14LT1E FE2 chassis, everything is working fine except AV1 SCART input video is not working only displaying a black screen with the OSD indication, neither composite nor RGB but the audio is working though. The front AV2 RCA inputs are working fine.
I've resoldered all the SCART pins to no avail. I've downloaded the schematic and checked that between the port and the jungle IC there are a few resistors and diodes that checked out fine and indeed video signal is reaching the IC, so I suspect the IC is faulty.
The problem is the IC is a TDA9392H/N1/4/0222 (FE2 v2.16) it must be a very rare chip as I can't find one anywhere online, I did find a TDA9392H/N1/4/0246 (FE2 v3.17) which seems to be a newer version of it.
Do you think it's OK to swap the IC with that version?
