Sony trinitron kv-32s26 no picture Can't Post
I have this KV-32S26 sony trinitron. The set powers on with good sound and a blinking stand by light. The light blinks continusley. When turned on the set has a white line across the center of the screen as if the hot was bad for a second and then it goes away. Then I get a dark black screen with white retrace lines with sound and no picture. I checked and resoldered all joints using a magnifing glass. I have 24kv output on the flyback. Any sufggestions would be great.

Check The vertical ic resolder it or replace.

Ok thanks for the info I changed Ic561 it is a TDA8172 and that changed nothing. I checked again for bad solder and dry caps. Screen has a purple tint and the white lines have an hourglass shape. On the TDA8172 I have 25.5v between pins 2&4 I have 2.2v between pins 3&4 and I have 15.9v between pins 5&4. I found C517 a 2.2uf 250v to test bad and changed it. Any other suggestions?

I would check the caps around the ic for low ESR.

Ok I was thinking the same thing. I found a few that were dry. I changed them and now I can get a picture only when I turn the screen on the fbt almost all the way to black. If not the picture just cuts out. It would only do this after being on for a while. Could this be the fbt breaking down or possibly a bad CRT? I have no way of checking the CRT.

This model is prone to failure of the fly back,did you re solder it?did you check all resistors?
