THOMSON SCENIUM 100HZ 32 WT45US PROBLEMS Can't Post

I have a Thomson Scenium 100hz 32 WT45US tv/dvd combo. When I switch it on nothing happens other than a cracking noise and the LED indicator flalshes "red" instead of green. There is also a smell similar to that of "Caps" used in a toy gun.

Any ideas??

Any "smell" from a set is a bad sighn, either capacitor, resistors or the high voltage transformer has suffered massive damage. There are to user servicable parts inside, take this dog to the shop
