TV color issue

My mid 80's Sony 27" Trinitron TV is displaying colors incorrectly. It started at the upper corners as either a yellow or green hue and it has since spread the entire screen. Now green's look purple, yellow's red, and so on. I naturally looked at the color adjustment controls, however, as expected they didn't correct the problem. I'd like to repair the problem myself but am in need of some guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
