Vizio D65X-G4 power on issues

I have a Vizio D65X-G4, that needs to be unplugged briefly before I can power it on. Once on, it works fine.
I went through a bunch of resets with the warranty company, and nothing helped.
I'd like to repair it. has anyone here had a similar issue?
will the repair kit from shopjimmy fix it?
