toshiba 50A61 color problems

I have A Toshiba 50A61 and recently had a power surge in my home. My cable box got fried and needed to be replaced. Since then the tv picture intermittently looses color and has shadows. it will do this for a few minutes then fix itself. It does not matter which video inputs are used. This problem does not effect the onscreen menus. The menus are always in color and do not have shadows. Any ideas would be a great help.
