Aiwa VX-T149K TV/VCR not recording sound

Hi,
I have a Aiwa VX-T149K TV/VCR combi which seems to have a problem with the VCR!
When I record on the VCR from any source (TV, SKY or External Scart) I get the picture but no sound. The only sound that is on the recording, is whatever was originally on the tape I used!
Amy ideas please,
