Go-Video Dual Deck VCR - Changing record speed? Can't Post

After years of seeing these puppies in thrift stores and passing on them for one reason or another, I drove past a business that threw one out today. All that was wrong was some "meteor showers" on Deck #2, which I fixed by improving the contact on the head drum grounding brush. The unit has a remarkably sharp picture and Hi-Fi sound, and even came with a free tape - Walt Disney's "Cinderella" which my wife is watching intently, thereby kissing goodbye any further work on the machine tonight.

After programming my universal remote for the machine, it has some pretty cool features such as sequential recording and playback of 2 tapes, etc. BUT - I don't see any way to change the speed for recording. Deck 1 is currently set to SP, and Deck 2 to SLP. The unit DOES have a speed matching option, and you can either record from Deck 1 to Deck 2 or vice versa. Heck - that's all the speed selection one needs I guess. But - does anyone know another way to change the speed on either deck?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Rats! But I'll see if I can Google the owner's manual.
