Hello - I noticed if I FF the tape and press play,
often the tape fails to load. If I momentarily
RW first for a few seconds. the Play is OK.
I opened it up so I could see what was happening,
and when the tape stops from it's FF, the left hand
spool slips a little and continues in a clock-wise
direction creating too much slack in the tape.
The VCR is otherwise fine. The whole mechanism is
built from these very cheap looking white plastic
parts (probably typical of VCR's of its day). Just by
eyeballing I'm not able to see anything useful.
Anybody familiar with this machine?
