JVC vcr blows fuse

Hi
I have a JVC HR-S5902u which was working fine until there was some lightning in the area--none very close, but when the vcr was turned on afterwards it blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I have some electronics experience, but with no schematic I can't do much. I am hoping some of you will have experience with this and can help. It will be very much appreciated! Thanks.
