My vcr can't receive signal from cable TV only on channel
no.36
On the other hand any channel between 21 and 69 UHF can be adjusted and signal from cable operater shows on
TV. It looks like vcr don't let channel#36 frequency(591MHz) to pass through.The same problem appears at other vcr(the same mfg and model).

you need to alter the rf output channel on your cable box usually done in the menu or service menu. this is because channel 36 is often used for airport radar and causes interference on the vcr. change it to a number not used by local tv and retune vcr to match the new frequency.
