idler question - JVC BR-S378U

I picked up a JVC unit recently and it wouldn't rewind/F-F tapes (would eat them). First thought was the idler. I popped the bottom off the VCR and the belt for the idler was just lying there, though intact, so it popped off (dry, unuse?).
Problem is, I can't seem to figure out the routing for the belt. Does anyone have a service manual for this, or might be able to help me figure out the belt routing? The belt itself seems fine, and I can see the pulley for the idler and the main motor, but nowhere else.
Any info would be appreciated...
