Re: [Megatron] CRT Panasonic TX-36PG50D tickting noise but not from relay [In reply to] Can't Post

I made a probe and connected to Computer speakers. I isolated the probe with two cheramic 10nF capacitors which isolate the probe not to allow current to go from TV PCB into Computer left and right speaker chanels and it Works much better then oscilloscope and now I can hear tone generator sound in Computer speakers.

Finaly I found the problem and the problem is in chip IC2001, it doesn't output the tone generator sound on output pins R27, L28. When the sound appears on TV speakers then there is the tone signal on pins R27, L28.

Before the IC2001 the signal goes First through IC3001 and it Works fine and the same whether the sound comes on TV speakers or not.

Here are the results (AUDIO BLOCK DIAGRAM page 9)

IC3001

16L YES
18R YES
L52 YES
R54 YES
L38 NO (LOUD NOISE)
R40 NO (LOUD NOISE)

IC2001 (when sound appears)

L56 YES
R57 YES
L53 NO (LOUD NOISE)
R54 NO (LOUD NOISE)
25L H/P YES
24R H/P YES
L47 H/P YES
R48 H/P YES
R27 YES
L28 YES

IC2001 (when no sound)

L56 YES
R57 YES
L53 NO (LOUD NOISE)
R54 NO (LOUD NOISE)
25L H/P NO
24R H/P NO
L47 H/P NO
R48 H/P NO
R27 NO
L28 NO

H/P (Head Phones)
The voltages in IC2001 are fine 8V (measured 7,8V) 5V (measured 5,02V).

Maybe the problem could be on IC1107 which controlls digitaly via SCL, SDA IC2001, I don't Know. What do you think?

The adio processor chip IC2001 is MSP3410DQAC5 or MSP3410DC5.

When I open audio menu with remote control to adjust something like bass, treble, balance, woofer the sound appears.

I am 99% sure that this chip is te issue. It cost 98 kuna ($16).

Bad News, I repleaced audio chip IC2001 and everything is the same.UnsureFrown

The TV again makes 3 blinking code and switching off the TV. I had to remove diode D869 from PROTECTION line and then the TV Works normaly except the sound. DOLBI not OK on service menu after repleacement IC2001. Unsure

On audio board TNPA 1727 chip IC2505 (HC4066) (not on datasheet) is very hot when put the finger. On my TNPA1727 board there are chips IC2505 and IC2506 and on datasheet is drawed IC2506 only, probably new or old version of datasheet.

On my IC2506 I can barely feel the heat and on IC2505 the heat is so high I can't hold the finger, they are both the same HC4066 (CD4066). I have measured the voltage and it is normaly 12V as it should be, but the heat is abnormal. Is it something shorted inside?

I am again waiting the new HC4066 to see if it will solve the problem.

Bad IF swapping the two ICs results in the hot one still being hot in its opposite location.

I have waiting the new chip CD4066 for two weeks and it didn't came so I swaped them and nothing is heating any more. This time when the CD4066 was overheating on DP bord, the chips on A bord IC3001 and IC2001 were also overheating, but not that much as I would burn the finger.
I have noticed also that sometimes IC 3001 is not sending the ton signal to IC 2001. I suspect now on U bord that it could be some bug I2C SDA SCL data which is not sending the properly address what to do the chips. The voltages are correct and I don't Know why are they overheating sometimes?!

Today I can't have the sound any more even after few hours. The picture is perfect.
