OK.I took them out and discharge the juice from them and use my analog ohm tester and the result is as follows- the needle moves all the way to the right and then back to the left where it was slowly on both of them.

Hello again just got my internet back.With the red probe on the pos.of cap 448 and the black probe on the neg of cap 884. i did not get any reading either way around ,using my digital tester although a analog meter would be more accurate but mine is busted.

With everything hooked up, check for 115 VDC across C884 and 5 VDC across C866 before the set goes into shutdown.

c884 reads 109vlts and c866 0volts and the line is not coming up back. when i start up i now get a dark screen.

OK it has been so long and so many posts, let's start from the beginning. First, did you put the fuse F470 back in? Check the voltage across C884 (115 vdc), C448 (115 vdc) and C101 (33 vdc). Again, take the measurements before the set shuts down. Take them again after shutdown. Don't worry about the line not coming up because hopefully, we have solved the vertical deflection problem and you should have full screen which may not come before the set shuts down.

sorry for the delay i have a bad internet service that sometimes go down for months. I am looking to get a new fuse and a vertical ic as i think this one is out,until then i will do what you said and post back the results again
