HOW did the THREE crosses get shifted to the left of center ???
Did they move themsrelves ???
Is your place haunted & ghosts moved them ???
Did the string decide to go to the right ???

Are any of those up now ???
Do any of those have the string in them ???
IF there are 3 different places , why is there string in all the recent pix ???

Us techs & especially us old farts , need those pix to STAY there till the problem IS FIXED !!!
So do NOT delete ANY more pix...

billmill1;....

There are 2 rings , each has 2 tabs 180* apart...
They'll turn completely around the CRT 360*...
Just grab ONE tab a a time.....
IF you can not get the pix to move down or up enough , figure out which ring is moving the pix left & right
HOLD that ring in place & adjust the OTHER one...
Should do what is expected...

IF the string that was put from corner to corner was properly taped , the center of your screen would NOT have moved...
So , YEP , start over...
IF you have left the centering adjustments alone as I said to , you should be able to line up the crosses..

IS THIS panel IN the set we just got done with OR a junker laying around ???

SA401 is a surge protector that allegedly protects against line voltage surges during power outages & possibly lightning strikes...
We'll worry about this part later...
Not critical..
C811 could be a SERIOUS problem & for that reason I STRONGLY advise you to NOT use the TV...
It is a 330pf @ 2KV special cap...
Please take a GOOD , CLEAR , IN FOCUS , CLOSEUP pix & post it/them...
Thanks...Smile...

Re: [Ron.M] philips/magnavox blue crt ground wires [In reply to] Can't Post

Ron this is the SA401 .it's loose this is the C811. I DONT KNOW IF YOU CAN PLAY THIS OR NOT. This my old board, when I had a power surge. Well 2 years ago a tv repair guy said the power supply was bad. He replaced the board and I had no sound ,the A & B coxial input cut off after a few minutes, He keep trying yo hide it.he kept pushing the buttons on the front.but I caught it. it all worked be fore surge. he started talking about replaceing the audio board and the SCP .i just recently have been turning it on. The A& B inputs stay on but i have that red light onn front stays on just when i hook up coxial .I'm got it running from cable box to DVD to video 1 or 2 and sound to surround sound receiver. with those 2 bad parts is it possible to tell what made them blow? also is it worth saveing the board or would it blow again ? How would i go about tracing the audio output? thanks Ron.SmileSmileSmile
